Weekend Wrap Up

I hope you all had a great Mother's Day. I was super spoiled this weekend! My LittleMan was sooo proud of a blue candle that someone (not sure if it was my mom or the hubby) gave him the money to go and pick out. All day yesterday he would tell me, "I sure like the blue candle I bought you. Can I see it again?". He was so proud of himself!
My mom also got some fingerpaints and made a collage in a frame with pictures, cute little quotes and a handprint with the year. It was wonderful!

I knew that I was set to get a great gift from the hubby also. A big bag from Lisa Souza arrived in the mail on Friday. I couldn't wait until he got off of work at 3 on Sunday to get my gift. Unfortunately, he had to work over until 11 pm last night and called to tell me to go ahead and open the gift. AMAZING!! He ordered Sock! in Blueflame (the pictures do not do it justice. It is fabulously gorgeous) and Big Wool Heavy Worsted in Little Devil (for matching hats for me, Hooker, LittleMan, and Scuba Steve) and in Joseph's Coat (for a sweater for LittleMan). The Joseph's Coat is gorgeous also. Thanks so much for helping the hubby Lisa!!

We were supposed to eat at our favorite local Mexican restaurant last night and we didn't let the change in work plans affect that! I had a wonderful date...

And we had a great time, just the two of us.

(taken with the auto timer...I always look way too smiley with those type of pictures)

We also went fishing this weekend. LittleMan was more interested in the crickets than fish, but he did reel a couple in.

I also tried some of the new Sugar N Creme Twist yarn this weekend. Is it just me or is this stuff softer than the original? I set out making dishcloths, but they were so soft that we used them as bathcloths. They are wonderful. I really like this yarn!

Wow, your hubby is a keeper like mine! I love when they "get it" when it comes to knitting! :)
