Long Overdue Post

Well, for those of you who didn't assume that I was abducted by aliens, here I am. So, what have I been doing? Not knitting. I've finished a whopping 2 1/2 bibs in the last month.

I've had a HUGE project going on at work. It involves lots of lawyers, contractors, consultants, the big blue and white store that has cheap prices, and the place in front of it where you get cheap gas with a gift card. Somehow, all of these people get the impression that since the owner of the company I work for who is in charge of a good bit of this has the same last name as me that I'm in charge. They by-pass him and call me. They want me to make decisions that have big monetary impact that I am not qualified to make and they want me to make them right now. So, I'm kinda stressed.

I've also been incubating a child due in February, yes you read that right. Apparently my future child wants me to be the skinnest mom around; therefore, I can't eat anything and don't get to hold on to much that I do eat. However, due to the wonderful world of chemistry, I have new meds that I got Tuesday that are allowing me to eat a little and actually hold on to some of it.

So, that's the story. So, as soon as I get energy, look for some big time baby knitting. My boss is having a boy in October or November and a couple that I work with is due a few weeks before me, so I've been knitting lots of bibs. I figure there will be at least one girl between both of us and the boy ones can go to the boss if we both have girls. I think she really wants a girl and I honestly will be happy with either.

Thanks to those of you who have e-mailed or commented wondering about me. You know who you are and I appreciate your concern more than you know. Week 12 will begin next weekend and is the big milestone I will reach and finally be able to relax.

Melissa

YAAAAAAAAY! I love baby news :o) How is little G gonna handle this? I think I waited until my burgeoning belly was really obvious before telling mine 'cos I knew once I told them they were going to have a baby bro/sis the following months would be much like this: is today the day the baby is coming? when is the baby coming? are we there yet?

Anyhoo, congrats!

Congrats on incubating. Hee hee! Maybe there's something in that water where you work--you're a bunch of tox-o's right? Might want to run some tests ;-)

Congratualations!!! Glad you're back ! Both of you!!! Blessings all around!!!!
And from someone that threw up for 9 months I will let you know that baby carrots are the only thing that don't tast gross after you've brushed your teeth for the millionith time :) I still carried emetrol (all natural phosphates) with me in addition to my meds that didn't always work, but my 'little one' is 12 and I'm sure that modern meds have come a long way!
