The charcoal baby kimono is finished. I love it. The yarn is soft and wonderful and has just enough shine to it. The pink ribbons are an interesting twist also.
I also finished the first of a pair of Saartje's Bootees. These are freaking adorable. Seriously, just go to Flickr and search for these. I'll wait. Ok, are you back now? WOW, right? I see LOTS of these in my future. And they are fairly quick and easy. I had a couple of issues figuring out a few things in the pattern, but I think it was all me really. Here is bootee #1, soon to be joined by #2. The only thing I wish I had done differently is the buttons. I couldn't find any cute buttons locally that really went with these colors. Anyway.....I have been cleaning at home furiously in preparation for some visitors that will be coming by tonight and so that I can just hang out leading up to the holidays. My father-in-law is currently undergoing some testing right now (as in right this minute so say a little prayer) and I'm sure in the next few weeks we are going to be pretty wrapped up with him if these tests come back like I imagine that they will. So, I'm sure I'll get lots of knitting time in if everything goes as I expect it will.
Hope you all have a great Thursday! I'm off to do some baby shopping with a co-worker!!
