More Baby Stuff!!

The charcoal baby kimono is finished. I love it. The yarn is soft and wonderful and has just enough shine to it. The pink ribbons are an interesting twist also.

I also finished the first of a pair of Saartje's Bootees. These are freaking adorable. Seriously, just go to Flickr and search for these. I'll wait. Ok, are you back now? WOW, right? I see LOTS of these in my future. And they are fairly quick and easy. I had a couple of issues figuring out a few things in the pattern, but I think it was all me really. Here is bootee #1, soon to be joined by #2. The only thing I wish I had done differently is the buttons. I couldn't find any cute buttons locally that really went with these colors. Anyway.....
I have been cleaning at home furiously in preparation for some visitors that will be coming by tonight and so that I can just hang out leading up to the holidays. My father-in-law is currently undergoing some testing right now (as in right this minute so say a little prayer) and I'm sure in the next few weeks we are going to be pretty wrapped up with him if these tests come back like I imagine that they will. So, I'm sure I'll get lots of knitting time in if everything goes as I expect it will.

Hope you all have a great Thursday! I'm off to do some baby shopping with a co-worker!!

Ooooh! I like the charcoal! The pink ribbons are a great addition - really makes it stand out. My Mom is very upset that I have been making things in non-traditional baby colors (it wasn't on purpose at first, but now it is because I am an evil bad daughter mwahahaha don't tell) - I think a charcoal sweater is next on my list! Ooh or coffee color!

Hey, these turned out as cute as can be! I have been wanting to try and knit this little sweater and these adorable baby shoes for my daughters future baby.(not pregnant, so don't be calling grandma yet:) I thought I would just be putting things away for her when she does have one. Guess what?! My daughter seems to not want knitted items. Hmmmm. Very sad about this. Maybe these booties will change her mind.LOL

I am so excited about your pregnacy! I miss you so much.
