I can't believe the weekend is over! I have a finished object to show you!! I am probably the last person in the world who didn't have a pair of Fetchings, but now I do.
They are a pretty almost navy color. (And I took this picture while at a stop light, not driving. That's my story and I'm sticking to it) It took just a yard or two over 1 ball. I'm thinking about shortening the length by 2 rounds and making a second (and third) pair out of the same yarn. Love the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran!!
A couple of questions for those of you who have done this pattern before. I have average sized woman hands and mine are a little bit big. I'm considering taking out 5 stitches for the next pair (casting on 40 instead of 45). Has anyone done this modification for theirs??
We had a good weekend. Had a blast with the kids. LittleGirl had a fun time with spagetti!
We found out on Friday that our plant will be taking some "market downtime". Two and 1/2 weeks for hourly employees and fortunately the salaried employees will still work. For now. Hubby is an hourly, so looks like he's going to be Mr. Mom for a little while. Employees can take vacation time if they have it so that they can get paid, but I feel so sorry for some of our hourly workers. This economy sucks and I think it's here for the long haul. I'm so frustrated that our country is in this mess and it's scary too. I have no idea what the solution is, but I hope it gets here fast!
Hope you are having a great day!
*This post was started on Monday and blogger wouldn't upload photos, so I got mad and tried again today, Tuesday.

Fetching Fetchings! (I've never made them!)
Suckage about the work stoppage. I'm actually kind of excited about how much money we'll save in daycare come January when Dr. MS starts school full time.
I love Little Girl's hair bow!
Yeah, the work stoppage is really too bad.
I made 2 Fetchings...2 different sizes. Now I can't remember which one worked best but I know many have complained about them being too big. I know a lot of people who have made them out of baby cashmerino instead of the cashmerino aran and then they fit fine. It's just worth playing around a little bit.
Hang in there we are all going through tough times right now. However, it will be nice to have some time off for the holidays.
Love the mitts and your daughter is such a cutie! I love this age--but then again all the little ages seems to be adorable in some way:)
Little girl spaghetti face is the cutest thing ever!
