LittleMan Strikes Again

A while back, LittleMan and I were watching Zack and Cody. He asked me why Zack and Cody didn't have a Daddy and Hannah Montana didn't have a Mommy. ummmm...
So I explained (and knock my parenting skills or get into the big religion talk and I'll delete your comment I swear...that is sooo not the point of this story) that Zack and Cody have a dad and he lives somewhere else and Hannah Montana's mommy is in heaven.
So, the rest goes like this...
LittleMan: Where is heaven?
Me: Ummm...way up high in the sky
LittleMan: How do you get there?
Me: (crap!) Ummm....when you get older and you have done what Jesus told us to do, you get to go to heaven (granted not the greatest explaination, but I wasn't really prepared)
LittleMan: I don't want to go to heaven
Me: Why?
LittleMan: It's too far away..
Me: Well, that's a long time from now. We'll talk about it later.
LittleMan: So, I don't have to do what you tell me to?
Me: What? Where did you get that from??
LittleMan: If I don't want to go to heaven, I don't have to do what Jesus wants me to. So, I don't have to do what you tell me to.

What do you say to that? Really??

And just tonight...
Me: Make sure Daddy goes to vote tomorrow.
LittleMan: Okay.
Me: It's important to go vote so we can have a say in who our leader is.
LittleMan: I'm voting for you!
Me: I don't want to be president.
LittleMan: Okay then. You'd be good.
Me: How did you get so smart?
LittleMan: (without missing a beat) Probably all the puzzles I do.
