Just a little update

I can't believe how long it's been since I updated. Partly because I'm super busy, partly because there is no knitting news, and partly because I'm just too lazy. I still think of things daily and say, "I should put that on the blog", but the follow through is just not there.

Here is one of my distractions. She's 6 months old now....

And my other distraction....who started Pre-K 4 this year. It's amazing how quickly they grow up

Now, I have been knitting, just nothing overly blog-worthy. Lots and lots of washcloths....mostly in the grandma's favorite pattern because they are so quick. They are easy to put down and pick back up also. And, I hear they are a great addition to the Operation Christmas Child boxes and are very well received, so I'm making up some for our church's donation drive. If you don't know what Operation Christmas Child is, google it and see if there is somewhere local you can contribute. It's a great cause and you feel so good making a difference in a child's life.
I've also been making tons of bibs. I made a few for Little Girl and some for a friend who is expecting a child in just a few weeks.
And in case you were wondering, hurricane preparations are underway. I have the flashlights lined up with extra batteries. I have cash and a full tank of gas, and some ice chests to put food in if the lights go out. We are prepared. I'm not too worried though because.....oh my! I forgot my newest news...
I got a new job!! I was working somewhere that was a 1 hour commute from my house. Now I'm at an industrial facility 10 miles from my house working as an environmental engineer. Smaller commute, same facility as my husband and other people I know, better salary, and a few other benefits. I'm soooo happy with this new job.
Anyway, that's why I'm not too worried about the storm. The mill can take it and they can generate their own electricity, so no matter what, I'll have a place to take a shower, get water, and a few other comforts.
Hope you are all well and maybe soon I'll be back to knitting things that require a pattern and blogging a little more.
And, Christy, if your parents need anything up this way, let me know!
