To sell or not to sell.....

Have you ever looked at your stash and begun to realize that you are not the same knitter who initially amassed all of this yarn? Have your tastes in colors, patterns, and yarns changed? I know that mine have.

This brings up an interesting delimma. Should I just sell some of the yarn in a stash sale or hang onto it? Have any of you come to this point? What did you decide to do??

I have tons of sock yarn. Lots and lots of sock yarn. I still like socks, but I'm just not as into them as I used to be. I think it's because I can't wear them to work because they would end up getting worn out way too quickly.

I tend to look at patterns for hats and sweaters and scarves more often now and not so much socks anymore.

I'm thinking that if I sold off some of the sock yarn, I could just buy more yarn for the other projects I've been eyeing.

What to do, what to do????

Well, that is a good question. I would hang on to the yarn but then again if you sold some then you could buy the yarn you want for your scarfs and such....I am still into the sock mode.....just finishing up a pair then I am going to try my darndest to learn "toe up"

You and I both know that I now have far surpassed this point. what is that term I have reached far beyond my life expectancy in terms of the amt of yarn that I own.

I am coming to the same conclusion slowly but sureley. There are many things that I need to separate and just sell. Some yarns have been boxed for charity.

I have pared down immensely but still have way too much yarn. Which reminds me I should cast on for some socks...
