Well, I've decided to hell with it. If you come here for knitting content, sorry, but if not, I'm just going to post a little bit of whatever.
With that being said, here goes.
I've been doing the Weight Watchers thing. I really like it. I've lost a little over 20 pounds so far and more importantly I've changed some eating habits and my kids are eating healthier. I exercise usually 5 days or more, and I feel a whole lot better.
I bought the Hungry Girl 200 under 200 cookbook and if you are looking for low-cal recipes whether or not you are a WW follower, this book is for you. I love it. I have made the cinnamon rolls (3 WW points each) and they are fantastic. Low calorie and reduced fat. And full of yummy (as evidenced by LittleMan scarfing it down)
I also made the cheese sticks out of the book (forgot to take pictures) and they were really good. I was super skeptical at first, but they were really great. (and almost guilt free).
I also used one of HG's favorite techniques (fake frying in the oven and using a Fiber One breading) and made chicken strips/nuggets. They are great. My food processor wouldn't process the Fiber One as much as I would have liked, but I bought a new one yesterday, so that problem should be fixed. I also had steamed veggies and an onion/pepper skillet mix that was great. The whole meal was around 4 points. YUMMY!
We also spent some time outside today....

love the 1st trim pic!! awwwww!!!!!!!!!
The kids are so cute! Another good breading is wheat germ.
We've been on a healthy kick here too and it's been helping a lot.
PS- I've got the same thing going at my blog, it's hard to just stick with knitting when I'm doing so little of it!
Long ago my blog became more about my life and less about knitting and I refuse to feel guilty over it. Knitting brought a lot of us together, but our lives are what makes the blog interesting.
Go for it!
I'll have to check out the book, good for you!
I don't need knitting content, I'm happy to read about you!!! :) The food all looks and sounds so yummy.
Great pictures of the kiddos! Hey whatever you want to share is great!
Good to hear you all had a fabulous weekend:)
