Also, on the crappy c-word front, the FILs test results after he finished chemo came back and he is CANCER FREE!! He will also have to have routine check-ups and scans, but for now, it's all good. Unfortunately this cancer does have a high recurrence rate, so they have to keep a close eye on things. Thank you all for your kind words though.
And now, on to fun stuff.....
This was LittleMan's "interview" that he wanted me to do for him. He's such a nut.
This cracked me up all the way around. He can be so silly!!!
That one was my first attempt with my new Flip UltraHD. I really can't say enough good things about this. Super easy to use. Super easy to upload. Small and very user friendly. I have a camcorder (old style with DVDs) but I was terrible at uploading, etc. I can upload this, freeze out still pictures, e-mail, etc and all with the software that comes on the camera. The USB thingie pops right out of the side of the camera and all of the software is saved on it.
They retail for like $199, but Wal *M@rt has them for $179. Great value for the money folks. I plan to use this to video karate stuff so we can practice at home. I hear that you can hook up a cable from the video thingie to the TV so I'll do that so he can practice along with videos of the teacher.
On the whole LittleMan is funny front, (which I guess now you know his REAL name if you watched the video) I had to go run some errands the other night and left the kiddos with my mom. He asked why they had to go there and I told him that shopping was much easier without 2 crazy kids. His reply? "How bad would it be with one sweet little boy?" LOL!
He also was overheard yelling at LittleGirl when she was getting on his nerves saying, "I shouldn't have to put up with this. BE QUIET!"
Okay, just one more. I was trying to talk to him about recycling cardboard at the mill where I work and I asked him if he knew what recycling was. He said "yep! That's like what papaw is. You don't work anymore and sit at home and they still send you money. "
The whole Weight Watchers thing is still going well also. So far I'm down 26.8 pounds!! My grand total goal is 40 pounds, but honestly 35 will make me super happy. So, on that note, I have a few product reviews!!
- Skinny Cow ice cream cones - Caramel - WOW 3 points of sheer wonderful. The caramel is creamy, although I really wish there was a little more of it. The cone is lined with chocolate. The cones are fairly good sized and PACKED with good taste.
- La Tortilla Factory Extra Virgin Olive Oil Wraps - only 1 point and absolutely huge. I'm thinking like 8 inches in diameter, maybe 9. PLENTY big enough to wrap up whatever that you want to include without it falling out everywhere. And here's the kicker. 13 (yes I said 13) grams of dietary fiber. WOW Throw on some rotisserie chicken, peppers, onions, cheese, and salsa and have a great 3-4 point meal!
- Okay, these aren't new or fancy, but Blue Bell Sugar Free Bullet pops are only 15 calories of cold wonderful icy goodness on a hot day. Just sayin'.
Also, for those Vita Top lovers out there, Amazon has a 15% off $49 or more Vitalicious sale through the 20th (Saturday). Just enter the code VITAL999 (I'm pretty sure that's it!) and that will also make you eligible for Free Super Saver Shipping. I was skeptical about using the free shipping, but the website says that they upgrade you to free 2 day shipping due to the perishable nature of the food. AWESOME! The order I placed will have some of the Vitalicious Brownies and a couple of Tops flavors I haven't tried, so I'll definitely review those for you.
And finally, if I haven't told you already, the Shred DVD is awesome. You can start off at the intensity that you can handle and build up. It's a 20 minute butt kicking that I'm in love with and can really feel my endurance rising. I love it. And, it's only like $9 on Amazon (and if ordered with the Vitalicious products...free super saver shipping!!)
Anyway, gotta run. I'm hoping to get some really awesome kid footage with the Flip in the next few days now that I'm used to it. I love this thing. Thanks Mo for the recommendation!!
