I'm such an idiot! (or Melissa has no common sense)

I started Week 2 of the C25K yesterday. I was so proud of myself. Week 1 hadn't been too bad and I'd even done an extra 5 minutes on Day 2. Sounds great right? Well.....the printout said this.... "Brisk five minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes."
So, being the super genius that I am, I did a 5 minute walk and then 6 of the 2.5 minute jog/walk intervals for a grand total of 20 minutes.
Yesterday I decided to use a podcast to do the workout. So, when he said how many intervals there would be, I realized that I'm an idiot or have no common sense or a combination of both. I should have done 5 minutes of walking and then 8 intervals for a total of 20 minutes of intervals for a GRAND TOTAL of 25 minutes. *facepalm*
So, tonight I'm going to try doing the whole thing correctly. I'm an idiot.

For product reviews, I have only one. I tried a Kashi pizza last week and a different variety last night. The first one I tried was Spinach and Mushrooms (or something like that) and the one last night was Vegetable (not the exact name).
The first one was not that great hot, but when it cooled a bit, I really liked it. The one last night was FABULOUS! I brought the leftovers to work today for lunch. It weighs in (ha ha) at 2 pts per slice (8 slices per pizza) and is pretty filling. It has thin crust which is really comparable to a Domino's thin crust. My only complaint is that there could have been more veggie toppings. But overall, a great points and money deal. I believe I paid around $6 for the pizza. I found it in the freezer section at Wal*Mart.

Which brings me to a funny Kashi story. When I first decided to make some dietary changes, I tried Kashi bars. The ones with fruit and almonds or something. They were pretty darn tasty. However, there were some GI effects that were less than appealing. I was told by oh so many people that this was normal and that when my system got used to the fiber, etc I would line out. It never happened. The day I decided to quit eating them is the day that the women's bathroom at work was occupied for 30 minutes by one of my employees (Lord only knows why) and I had to go. Like really go. I ended up having to make a male employee clear out the men's restroom and wait by the door so no one would come in while I used the facilities. After that, (keep in mind this is in a paper mill) I threw the rest of those demon bars in the trash.

I find out months later when I first started browsing the Hungry Girl website that the darn things were contaminated. As in RECALLED. I swear to you that for 2-3 months afterward I refused to eat any high fiber foods in fear that this is what they made you do. I just wish now that I had those darn boxes to get my freaking cash back. Hmmm....I wonder how much I could ask them for my dignity seeing how the "bathroom watchman" story is a favorite among my employees when they need a good laugh. I'm thinking at least a few free pizza coupons or something. I still to this day refuse to buy Kashi cereal or bars because the memory is too fresh, ya know.

I gave blood today. You think that could count as 1 AP? I mean, you lose a pound and then your body burns calories to replace the blood. I'm thinking it counts. Anyone want to give their take?

Finally, I apologize for the lack of pics. Camera is at home, card reader is here. Maybe they can meet up in a dark alley somewhere and provide you guys with pics of the pizza. Because I took them.

Have a great week!!
Melissa

I feel the same way about Fiber One bars! There's no way I can eat those and go into public for 6-8 hours...
