Christmas Part 2 .... Ready, Set, GO

I am about to pack up from work and GO HOME!! The kids spent the night with my dad last night and I'm leaving around 11 to go finish up Santa stuff, straighten up the house, run if the weather cooperates (I'm not banking on that one), then heading over to my dad's to do his Christmas festivities.

Last night after dropping the kids off at his house, my sister-in-law and I headed to the mall, Best Buy, Target, CVS, Wal Mart, Chick Fil A, and finally for ice cream. We had a blast! I rarely get the opportunity to shop without kids, so that was a treat!

Supper at my dad's tonight will consist of BBQ and I'm really excited about that. The presents are pretty exciting also. He's getting me a Garmin watch!! So, that should motivate me to run over the holidays!

My brother told me the other night that he's getting back into running January 1st. He previously knocked out 7-10 mile runs like it was nothing. So, in March our goal is a 10 mile trail run and I'm excited.

Finally, go visit Amanda and congratulate her. She reached GOAL and has another exciting announcement. She is sooo inspirational and if you haven't read her story, then WHAT are you waiting for???

I'll be back tomorrow for a picture loaded Christmas Eve post!!!!

Hi Melissa,

Your comment on Tall Mom's post caught me eye; I'll be a 500-miler in 2010, too...not quite ready for 1000+ (yet!). I told Mel I'd like to start a 500 mile challenge and left you a comment on her post, asking if you're interested. She says she'll promote it if we decide to host. Are you in? (Don't know the logistics yet, but figure it out as we go, I suppose?)

I read your profile and today's post...I was LOL - you remind me a lot of my youngest sister: she's a mom w/ 3 small kids and a VERY hectic life! Wow! Don't know how you guys do it! Was just talking w/ her while she was doing last-minute Christmas shopping minus the kids (she was as thrilled as you! LOL).

Saw your '08 and '09 Relay for Life pics... Congrats! Amazing and inspirational!

Also noticed we have some bloggy friends in common: In addition to Mel, I saw Kerrie, Lisa, and Amanda (5 Miles..). Awesome ladies!

Glad to have found your blog. If interested, feel free to stop by my turtles blog. :-)

Merry Christmas from Orlando!

Sounds like you are doing well! I enjoy reading your blog as I am an exercise nut...I don't run, but I spend a lot of time in the gym and love to eat healthy.
