One Year Ago Today..............

One year ago today, I struck out and began the C25K program. I will NEVER forget my first day's workout. I was so scared of not being able to do it, so I forced my friend Tad to go with me. I wasn't sure if either one of us was going to make it. Looking back, I am amazed at how hard I thought 60 second intervals of running were!

I could have never imagined that a year later, I would have finished 5 5Ks (one was virtual), a 5 mile trail run, a 10K, and be training for a half marathon!

I also would have never imagined the awsome friends that I have made from blogging. I truly appreciate each and every one of you. I feel so bad that I haven't been able to comment on each of your blogs lately. I'm hoping things get better soon. Some things at work have been resolved today and hopefully that will make things better.

So, happy runniversary to me. So, each of you tell me how long you've been running.

Melissa

I started running January 2006, did my first 5K in April of that year. Then I followed with many 5 and 10Ks, halves, and fulls

I started running May 2009 from zero. Several 5Ks, 10Ks and 1/2 marathons later, I'm a runner for life! Congrats on your runniversary!

Great job Melissa! I also remember how hard it was to run for one minute :) ...it's been about 13 months now since I first started!

Congrats! So exciting!
I started "running" in late 2008. I couldn't run more than a few mins at a time but now I run half marathons.

I feel the same way about my journey and the fact that I never could've imagined where it would take me. Glad I could be a part of yours and look forward to reading more about your daily musics!

Congrats! This past week I decided the kids were back in school, we have a little time off from baseball, and it was time I picked my butt up off the couch and got 3 days of running in. I started at week one again and was amazed at how great I felt and wondered why I ever stopped. I'm excited to begin week 2 tomorrow! Maybe next year at this time I can celebrate my runniversary:) Way to go girl....you are such a great inspiration to me.
