Wow! I need to blog a little more often, right? I have been teaching safety school once a week for the past four weeks and today was the last day. Thank the Dear Lord!!
We are getting ready for back to school and it has been a total J-O-B getting these kids back on a schedule!! Since we have been getting ready for school, we have been reading a whole lot. That's when this started......
On the running front, it's finally hot enough that I can't run outside at lunch. On Tuesday, the high was 105 and the heat index was 120, so I chose to go to the gym instead. It was actually quite nice. I ran so much better because I wasn't about to die! I got in the 3.5 miles on my schedule and it felt great! I kept a 9:13 pace for most of the run with a pace of 8:30 for most of the last 1/2 mile!
Apparently though, my body wasn't too keen on this. I felt great Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Wednesday after lunch, my knee began to ache just a bit on the outside. By last night, I needed ice. Today when I bend it about half way, you can feel it pop and it's pretty sore. I didn't run today (wanted to though) and might tomorrow. I hope this heals quickly!
