Turn that From Upside Down

Well, sometimes you have to make the best of a bad situation. Said bad situation is that all I wanted to do this morning was to go to the gym. I had a bag packed and the plan was to take LittleMan to school, stop by the mill and approve time cards, and then Little Girl and I would be off to the gym. I even had her toys packed and a snack!

However, the hubby has been sick and he was needing some stuff from the store, and Little Girl fell asleep in my lap as I was approving time. So, the gym was out. :(

I got mad. Seriously, I was angry about the situation. I had really wanted to get on a treadmill. (I know....shock and awe, etc.) But, I tried to get a better attitude. I tried to think of something that I could do at the house and ended up doing a killer kettlebell arm workout and finishing off with some Perfect Push-Ups.

I'm soooo glad I decided to do that workout. My arms are sore and they feel great. Maybe I can make my next scheduled date with the gym on Wednesday. Melissa

I'm sure the gym was packed with resolutioners anyway. Great job!

way to make the best of a bad situation! I love when my arms are sore, I don't do near enough arm workouts!

Good for you getting a workout in anyway! It hard when life has it's own plans, and they get in the way of our plans..
I need to put in some arm workouts. I never do enough for my arms.

Awesome! I got a kettlebell in December, and I've only used it once because my arms felt awful (in a good way) after. I'm too afraid to try again.

Nice job getting a workout in - I understand your frustration so well and remember using my family as THE excuse for why I couldn't exercise. That excuse lasted nearly 20 years...not good. Proud of you for taking charge now! :)
